The Klingon language is the language of fictional Klingons in the Star Trek universe. The language’s basic sound, along with a few words, was first devised by actor James Doohan (“Scotty”) for Star Trek: The Motion Picture. It is the constructed language that film marked the first time the language had been heard on screen. In all previous appearances, Klingons spoke in English. Klingon was subsequently developed by Okrand into a full-fledged language. A small number of people are capable of conversing in Klingon.

Kayah/ Kayah Li belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language family and is spoken by about 590,000 people in the Kayah and Karen states of Burma (Myanmar) and is also a member of Karen branch. The language and people who speak it are known as Western Kayah, Karenni, Karennyi, Red Karen, Yang Daeng or Karieng Daeng. The name Kayah is a new name invented by the Burmese to tear them off from other Karen. Eastern Kayah is reported to have been spoken by 260,000 people in Burma and 100,000 in Thailand in 2000, and Western Kayah by 210,000 in Burma in 1987.

Kalmyk was first written in the Uyghur script. However, later its alphabets were created using the Classical Mongolian Script. Also, Kalmyks in Russia adopted the Cyrillic alphabets.

Jin was universally considered to be a dialect of Mandarin Chinese, until 1985, Li Rong proposed that Jin should be considered a separate top- level grouping, similar to Cantonese or Wu Chinese. Jin is spoken most of in Shanxi province, except for the lower Fen River valley; much of central Inner Mongolia; as well as adjourning areas in Henan, Hebei and Shaanxi provinces.
